Our History

Since 1980, Adams & Associates® International (A&AI) has been solely involved in providing all lines of insurance services for Missionaries residing, traveling, and/or working outside of the U.S.A. and Canada.  As an Independent Insurance Agent, Broker and Managing General Agency offering these services, we perform marketing, policy issue, policyholder service and claims servicing on behalf of several major international carriers.

A&AI's customers range from several of the largest Missionary Sending Organizations to the single Missionary family supported by a local independent church.  Currently, insurance services are being provided to over 15,000 Career Missionaries each year and to over 50,000 Volunteer Missionaries each year.

All lines of insurance are offered.  Many of the programs in place have been custom tailored for the Sending Organization needing a particular type of coverage.

Major insurance carriers including AIG International Services (formerly AIG Assist), Chubb Group of Insurance Companies, and Lloyd's of London are represented, as well as other financially strong carriers providing coverage as needed.  Additionally, A&AI has worked since 1990 with International Medical Group (IMG) in the development of various medical insurance programs for missionaries and is IMG's designated representative for missionary business.  A&AI is independent and makes every attempt to place the coverage needed by the missionary or mission sending organization with the company offering the most advantageous arrangement to the particular situation.

A&AI has a staff of 16 and is led by Harold H. Adams, Jr., CPCU, who has been involved in addressing the insurance needs of missionaries since 1976.  The qualifications of each associate are summarized for you on the "Our Staff" page.
